1. Assemble the Sandwiches

Assemble each sandwich by placing the four slices of bread onto a board and evenly distributing the sliced and grated cheeses across them. Fold one slice over another to form the sandwiches.

2. Add the Butter to a Preheated Pan

Preheat the pan to 350°F/176°C (medium) and add some of the butter.

3. Add and Begin Toasting the Sandwiches

Place the sandwiches in the pan. Toast for 5 minutes on the first side.

5. Add the Remaining Butter and Melt Completely

6. Return the Sandwiches and Finish Cooking

Place the sandwiches back in the pan, toasted side face up and finish toasting for 5 more minutes. You may gently press the sandwiches while they cook.
